“ After 9/11 tragedies and the resulting skyrocket in insurance premiums, Metzler Bros. worked hard to help us control these costs. They helped moderate rate increases by being innovative and proactive.”

Why Metzler Bros.
In any era, starting a new business is no walk in the park. But, in post-war Kansas City, 1946, the Metzler brothers decided to give it a whirl. In talking to potential clients, they heard things like, 'If you're still in business in a year, come talk to me again.' And they most certainly did, doing whatever it took to build trust and fidelity with new clients and grow the nascent business.
Today, that same Metzler Bros. gumption is an aspect of the company that continues to attract new clients. And once they get used to our fanatical focus on customer service, our clients most often stay with us for the long haul. In fact, many of the original clients who signed on with a handshake in the 40's are still with Metzler Bros. The agency even boasts the retention of our very first client, who joined the roster in 1947.
As our Kansas City-based clientele have expanded to national and international markets, Metzler Bros. has expended coverages and personnel to meet their needs. As a result, Metzler is consistently ranked as one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the area. We don't let it go to our heads, though. Metzler Bros. was built on small-agency principles, and that is the mode of business we maintain.
Our customers talk to real people, meet their agent(s) face to face, and know exactly who to call when they need us. And when they do need us, our commitment to personal service and efficient, creative, professional solutions is what earns our clients' loyalty ... and occasionally, a lovely plaque.
True, we do still live by many of the tenets that got us where we are today. But one of the few things we have changed is ... where we are today. We cannot claim to be in the same office space as 60 years ago. In that way, we've definitely moved on up. In fact, if we didn't know that some clients were addicted to our customer service, we would almost swear they're with us just so they can enjoy the views from our conference room. But we know better. The views are just gravy.
