Started in 1946 by two brothers, Metzler Bros. Insurance is a second-generation business that has grown to become one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the area with its headquarters in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and a second location in Independence, Missouri. From a core business of Commercial Property and Casualty coverage, services have expanded to include Employee Benefits, Financial Services and Personal Lines. President Steve Metzler is a recognized leader in Kansas City's non-profit community, helping to insure over 50 agencies and donating countless hours of time and resources to their causes.

The Kansas City Business Journal ranked us the 16th largest independent insurance agency in the Metropolitan area last year. We have structured the company to handle all of their clients' insurance needs. The core of the agency is our Commercial Lines department. Although our foundation has been Kansas City area businesses, we have expanded to provide coverage nationwide as well as internationally. We represent a wide variety of insurance companies that offer the broadest coverage and services to meet the changing needs of our clients.

Protecting our clients' assets also means having the resources to handle their group medical, short and long term disability, 401-k plan and business succession planning. The professionals in our Employee Benefit/Financial Services department bring strong credentials and creative thinking to solve our clients' many financial needs. To protect our clients' homes, cars, boats, jewelry and other valuable items, we have a Personal Lines Department made up of experienced professionals. We represent various Personal Lines insurance companies who are the leaders in the industry with products that are cutting edge.
